If you are like me, you many not enjoy cooking or you may prefer to spend your time on other activities! However, I have found that in order to control what I eat and ensure it is organic, non-GMO and alkaline food, I really do need to spend time in the kitchen preparing my food! Ouch! So, over time, I have discovered simple ways to cook delicious Fall harvest food. This fall season, take time to notice the colorful gourds sitting outside your grocery store  or at your farmers market – namely, squash, zucchini and pumpkin. Buy a few of these gourds and pop them in the oven at 400 degrees for about 45 minutes and then add coconut, avocado or walnut oils for flavor, along with butter (ghee if you are lactose insensitive). Sprinkle tasty and healthy spices such as sea salt, turmeric, kelp, nutmeg, cinnamon and ginger. While gourds are baking you can boil some quinoa pasta, which contains lots of protein. Make enough for 2 meals! Yummy and easy!
